Hellllooooo December! I can't believe it already the last month of the year.
I previously announced that I was starting A Dairing Holiday Series, where I’m sharing my best tips to make your holiday season amazing! I’m so excited to share the Dairing December Closet Challenge with you today! Keep reading to find out more and to get the challenge prompts.
A Dairing December Closet Challenge
Challenges like this have always been so fun to participate in. Inspired by Hilary Rushford of Dean Street Society, I created my own, just in time for the holiday season. With so many festivities and parties, it can be hard to think of new and fun ways to utilize the items you already own.
How does it work?
What exactly is a closet challenge? I’ve come up with 31 days of inspiration to help you have some fun with the items already in your closet. Check out the prompt each morning when you’re getting dressed and let it inspire you. Some are more literal, and others are a little more abstract. Either way, interpret them however you wish and let your personal style shine! Can’t think of an outfit that fits the theme? Use the prompt to inspire your accessories, and even your hair and makeup.
After you style your outfit of the day, snap a pic! You can take a pic of the outfit on your bed, hanging in your closet, or in a selfie. Then share it on Instagram with the hashtags #adairingdecember #adairingcloset, and tag me @adairinglife. Get your friends in on the fun too!
The best part about these challenges is taking the time to use what you own. Anytime I have something special coming up, or a trip, I like to think I need to buy new clothes (anybody relate?). This enables you to step back and look at what you already own. Make sure to get creative with it, and don’t let the prompts overwhelm you! There are ultimately no rules, do as many days as you like, however you like. Here is my Day 1 outfit for (All) White Christmas – I mixed shades of white, and even layered over a printed chambray and some well worn nude Tieks.
