Lake Norman Magazine Feature: Hipstik

November 18, 2016 0 Comments

I have been a little MIA on the blog lately. Between being under the weather, working on a guest project for an up and coming paint line, and just trying to enjoy the fall season, I’ve been a little slack (sorry ya’ll!).

I did want to share one of the projects I worked on recently! I had the pleasure of doing hair for a feature on Hipstik Tights in the November issue of Lake Norman Magazine.

It was so great to be in a room full of Girl Bosses who were having a great time getting made up, laughing and enjoying each others company! The article features info on Hipstik, and also three different ways to style your tights.

Now on to the hair! We started the shoot with these loose, casual waves. True story: if I was on a deserted island, I would bring a curling wand and texturizing spray.

Next, I twisted back Tessa’s hair for a more sophisicated look (and to show off those earrings!). Second true story: the 3rd item I’d take on that deserted island is bobby pins! Make sure to keep bobby pins in your cup holders and in every pocket in your purse (oh wait, I’m sure you already do that, right?). If you’re running for after work drinks, you can quickly twist the sides of your hair back to dress up your hair in a flash!

We finished the shoot with an edgy rocker girl vibe. Tessa’s hair is braided and twisted along the back, and finished with a messy bun. I pulled out random pieces to give her that lived in look. This was definitely my favorite!
