I already knew he was the best thing that ever happened to me, but the way he's shown up for me in both the biggest and smallest ways has made us stronger. Grief. It's hard to explain. It's feeling everything...and nothing at the same time. Tears at what's been...and what will never be. Anger and confusion about questions with answers you'll never receive. Happiness at past memories. Heartbreak at the vacancy we're left with. So we do all we can. Pray for peace. Pray for understanding. Reflect on our cherished memories.

One week ago my step father unexpectedly took his last breath here on earth. He's been made whole but the rest of us are picking up the pieces of our hearts.

You gotta do, what you gotta do 🤷‍♀️ Being a mom is tough, and that's ok. You're a human too and your feelings and experiences are valid. When I became a SAHM I couldn't understand why it was so hard for me sometimes. I mean, that's what I wanted, right? How could I admit that something I wished so hard for, and was privileged enough to experience, was challenging?

But you know what? Just because you want something really badly, doesn't make it easy. Just because you express negative feelings doesn't make you ungrateful. We're all forever growing and learning. And admitting you're a person with real feelings is actually pretty darn good for ya ❤️
